Last year's record: 8-10 PAC-10, 9-11 overall.

Players to watch: Kyle Blankenbiller, Sr., P; Chris Loessy, Jr., SS; Ryan Fleck, Sr., 113; Justin Risko, Jr., OF; Ben Gresh, Jr., 3B.

Outlook: Klaptosky takes over as head coach after four years as assistant to Bob Laird, who moved out of the area. ... Falcons wound up in three-way tie for PAC-10's second District 1-AAA spot and lost in a tie-breaker. ... "It should be a very interesting battle for that spot for districts," said Klaptosky, who is looking for Blankenbiller to lead the pitching staff, Loessy to anchor the infield, and Fleck to key the offense. "We're going to count on a lot of juniors to pull the load. If the juniors mature quickly and give us a boost, we could win a few games."
