Keys beat Kutztown, go to 9-0
Joe Pietrobone drives in three runs in Gregg Post's 6-1 victory.

Joe Pietrobone's two-run single sparked a five-run third inning, which carried visiting Gregg Post to a 6-1 victory over Kutztown Sunday in the Berks Legion League.
Pietrobone went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs and scored two runs for the Keys (6-0 Red Division, 9-0). Brad Swavely held Kutztown (1-1 Blue Division, 1-1) to just one run while striking out four in seven innings to pick up the win.

Hamburg 3, Fleetwood 1: At Fleetwood, Scott Huff outdueled Justin Garcia, and Alex Rhoades was 3-for-4 to lead the Reds (5-2 White Division, 8-2) over the Tigers (2-3 Blue Division, 2-5).

Huff and Garcia each pitched a complete games, but Garcia was hurt by four errors.

Shane Specht's RBI single in the sixth inning provided the winning run for Hamburg. Rhoades singled and scored on an error for an insurance run in the ninth. Garcia was 2-for-4 for Fleetwood.

West Lawn 11, Birdsboro 7: At Birdsboro, the Owls (2-3 Red Division, 4-5) spotted the Orioles (0-7 White Division, 0-12) a 5-1 lead but used a 15-hit attack to come from behind to win.

Greg Strupp was 3-for-5 with a triple, two runs and two RBIs, winning pitcher Dexter Jablonski 3-for-6 with a run and two RBIs and Josh Smith 3-for-4 with two runs for West Lawn.

Jared Martz was 3-for-3 with two RBIs for Birdsboro.

Schuylkill Valley 10, Oley 9: At Oley, Jason Troutman had a run-scoring triple in the ninth to tie it, and Rich Crayton drove him in with a single as the Marlins (3-3 White Division, 3-3) beat the Lynx (0-5 Blue Division, 0-7).

Winning pitcher Kevin Buch and Nate Shatto each went 2-for-5 for Schuylkill Valley. Cody Younker was 2-for-4, scored two runs and drove in two.

Ryne Geary was 3-for-3 and drove in two runs for Oley, and Morgan Boyer was 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI.

Exeter 11, Conrad Weiser 4: At Robesonia, winning pitcher Tommy Rivas tripled and Mike Lloyd homered to highlight a nine-run sixth inning as the Blue Jays (4-2 Red Division, 10-3) overcame a 4-2 deficit to trip the Scouts (1-4 White Division, 2-6).

Legion tryouts: Nineteen Berks League players advanced to the 2006 Pennsylvania Showcase/All-Star Game at the Berks Legion All-Star Tryouts at Muhlenberg.

The Showcase game will be played June 21 at Emmaus.
