Pleasant Valley hosts mega-team event Saturday

Pleasant Valley will host the seventh annual High School Wrestling Festival on Saturday.
Three local teams — East Stroudsburg South, East Stroudsburg North and PV — are included in the 30-team varsity field. There will also be some junior varsity teams competing.
Action kicks off at 9 a.m. with seven varsity dual meets. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children for an all-day pass.
Meets will start at 9 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 2 p.m., 3:45 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Teams representing Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Alabama will compete.
Pleasant Valley will use both gymnasiums for the event and 10 mats — six mats in one gym and four in another.
The field includes: Archbishop Wood, Bangor, Bayonne (N.J.), Bergen Catholic (N.J.), Blair Academy (N.J.), Catasauqua, C.B. West, East Stroudsburg North, East Stroudsburg South, Easton, Emmaus, High Point (N.J.), Highland Regional, Lehighton, Mansfield, Mendham (N.J.), Mifflinburg, Northampton, PV, Salisbury, Selinsgrove, Northeast Catholic, Watchung Hills (N.J.), Whitehall, Wilson, Oxford, Seton Hall Prep, Tamaqua, Vestavia Hills (Ala.), and Wyoming Seminary.

Pleasant Valley: vs. C.B. West (9 a.m.); vs. Northeast Catholic (10:45 a.m.); vs. Vestavia Hills (12:15 p.m.).
ES South: vs. Highland Regional (12:15 p.m.); vs. Bangor (3:45 p.m.); vs. Watchung Hills (5:30 p.m.).
ES North: vs. Archbishop Wood (10:45 a.m.); vs. Emmaus (12:15 p.m.); vs. Salisbury (2 p.m.).
