Welcome to the Parkland Junior High Wrestling Website
UPCOMING EVENTS
Caling all wrestlers and wrestling parents. Junior High Districts is this coming Saturday and Monday. All parents are needed to volunteer their time in working in some capacity this weekend. It is likely that our High School team will be in Hershey so we cannot count on their help. Please make sure you contact Ann Lizak or Beth Moore to let them know how you can help. We will need the most help Friday night around 9 pm as we will not be able to set up until after the boys basketball game. Also, we will need some additional guys to help with weigh ins Saturday and Monday morning. This is your son's tournmanet and if we want to keep it at Parkland, then we all need to help in some capacity. This is a large fundraiser that we do not want to lose.
1. EVERYONE IN THE ORGANIZATION MUST SIGN UP TO HELP IN SOME WAY. Here are the times and assignments we need filled:
a. Friday evening - February 12. Gym set up. Moving the mats into the gym, setting up tables and chairs, clocks and score flip charts. Setting up head table staging area. All of this must occur at the conclusion of the basketball game - 9 pm. If your son is on the High Varsity team, keep in mind you may not be available at this time if the team is in Hershey. As such, we need ALL HIGH SCHOOL JV WRESTLERS AND PARENTS AS WELL AS JUNIOR HIGH PARENTS FRIDAY NIGHT. If we get enough help, it should only take a couple of hours.
b. Saturday morning, February 13. Weigh ins - 7:45 a.m. Need 12 adult males for this job. We are short 5. Also - we have the same people working in the concession stand all day. Need more volunteers there.
c. Saturday evening - 7:00 pm. Need as many high school JV wrestlers and their parents as possible to come back to the High School to help break down the excess mats, bring the medal stand from the pool area and clean up trash. Should only take two hours.
d. Monday - short on everything - weigh-ins, concession stand. If you are not working on Monday, February 15, we need your help. Also - all High School Varsity Wrestlers will be expected to be available from 3 - 7 to help remove mats from the gym, clean up trash and help wrap the event up.
e. Food donations. We will sell anything you can make, bake, buy, donate. Soup, Pasta Salad, Barbque, etc. Need especially for Saturday. Items can be dropped on Friday evening.

SEASON EVENTS
Congratulations to our Junior High Wrestlers on an outstanding match against
Nazareth. With an electrifying crowd for Nazareth consisting of their entire
student body, faculty, cheerleaders, their band, mascot and even a showing by
Coach Crowell our wrestlers showed great sportsmanship pulling through
some great wins to pull off a victory of 45-43. It was an experience I think we
all will remember.
Congratulations to our Parkland Junior High Wrestlers on placing 2nd at the
